DESIGN PROCESS
Though our custom camps program our design team will take the content and goals of your program or project and develop a camp/training delivery plan based on Sky Ranch's Purposeful Play philosophy. The team will incorporate your desired learning and behavioral outcomes into a fun and engaging camp/training experience. This training can then be delivered by our highly skilled staff of 20 professionals at one of our camp locations or on-site at your desired location. |

Todd Witt, Senior Director for School Programs has a bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry and holds two masters degrees (Aquatic Biology and Student Personnel Administration). He has won national awards from the NCAA and the National Organization of Student Assistant Programs and Partners for his student assistance programs. The U.S. Department of State has used his services to design, organize and deliver national conferences and trainings in Thailand, Malaysia, Brazil, Italy, Jamaica, Canada, Peru, Columbia, and various locations in the U.S. He also developed the Go Center concept for the The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's College for |
Texans Campaign and delivered training to over 2500 students in 250 schools across Texas. The program was so successful, the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission and the Fairmont State University GEAR UP program contracted with him to train students in West Virginia. Other organizations and agencies of note that have used his services include the Texas State Tobacco Education Program, Texas PALs, Drug Prevention Network of the Americas, Stephen F. Austin State University Department of Housing and Residence Life, Texas Education Agency Region 13 Educational Service Center, Texarkana College Talent Search and more.

Jim Franks, Director of Outreach brings to the team 23 years of experience as a youth minister. As a youth minister he has developed a skill for developing exciting themes to compliment educational content. He has also designed an delivered numerous mission trips, disciple now events, vacation bible schools and church camps in his role as a youth minister. He has also served as Executive Director of 180 Student Link and Student TEAM Ministries where he worked closely with Mr. Witt to deliver a wide variety of trainings and camps. |

Mike Carr, Director of Outdoor Education brings 18 years of service delivering outdoor education and camping experiences to students, with seven of those at our Texas facility. He holds a bachelors of fine arts in Graphic Design. He recieved the award Devotion to Youth from the Lions Club as recognision for his hard work in this area. In addtion he worked five years in Texas and North Carolina's Juvenile Correctional Facilities.

Marquita Stottern, School Programs Operation's Director, is a certified Teacher with a certification in special education. She also holds a masters degree in Information Sytems and Learning Technology, with a minor in Special Education, and in addition holds a bachelors in Art and Business. She served as Regional Coordinator for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and worked with Mr. Witt and Mr. Franks with the design and delivery of the Go Center training for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. She has been selected to conduct workshops through Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA), Texas Education Agency Region 8 Service Center, East Texas Communities in Schools and North East Texas GEAR UP, as well as |
various schools and organizations in the East Texas area. Marquita has developed multiple websites for various businesses and organizations, has been in several technology advisory boards/positions, has taught technology classes for Texas non-profit organizations, businesses, and Tyler Junior College and has won several design awards. She has worked with children in various forms for the past 25 years. |

Vernon Hughes, Curriculum Coordinator, has been involved in camping for the past 16 years has served as a camp leader at Sky Ranch for 15 years. He has worked with students from second grade through college age. has a bachelor’s degree in speech communication. He is ACCT certified through Adventure Experiences in both high and low ropes elements and team building for two years. In addition he holds Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification and is a certified Life Guard.

Clinton Pfalser,
Legacy Fellowship Director has over 10 years of camping experience working with kids from the ages of six to seventeen. Clinton received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Kansas, He is now currently working with Sky Ranch’s Legacy Fellowship Program designed to offer college graduates an opportunity to develop leadership, character and camp skills. He holds a bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas where he also worked as a Resident Assistant for two years in on-campus housing. He is an avid member of his local church where he works with Junior and Senior High school boys.
